After two graduate degrees and almost the completion of a Ph.D. you would think my career would have helped me bring in much money.
With piles of student loans I worked for a number of years as a college professor to pay them off and to help bring in income for my husband and for me, but never seemed to be able to get ahead. Once we had our first daughter, we made the joint decision that I needed to stay home with her no matter what, but how could I continue helping pay down the debt as well as contribute to easing the added expenses of a growing family (which seemed to be adding to the debt over time) if I was going to stay at home?
